Relational aggression, known as 'girl bullying' and sometimes called 'girl drama' is a form of social aggression that is not always confined to females. Social exclusion, rumor, gesture and innuendo are used to bully and manipulate social status. The workshop will identify relational aggression in the school setting and its effects across the life cycle. Girl bullying will be explored as it is portrayed in children's and young adult fiction. Effective interventions will be discussed.
