Volunteers Wanted

Unit Leaders Needed!

Atlantic/Cape May/Cumberland
Middlesex
Somerset/Hunterdon
Sussex/Warren

Unit Leaders (Chairpersons and Co-Chairs) are responsible for having regular meetings which are open to the members in their Units. These meetings should be held at least four times a year. Unit Leaders can keep the overall membership informed of their Unit activities and concerns through reports to the Regional Representatives and articles in FOCUS.  They are responsible for recruiting social workers who are not members of NASW; identifying candidates for Chapter offices and soliciting nominations for Chapter awards; and promoting NASW and the social work profession.

The Chapter Office Needs Volunteers To:

•    Contact members regarding membership renewal
•    Assist with mailings to recruit new members

Join us as a presenter for the 2016 NASW-NJ Annual Conference in May in Atlantic City. Submit your workshop proposal by August 26, 2015 to be reviewed by the NASW-NJ Continuing Education Committee. Applicants will be notified in November whether their workshop has been accepted.

Also Licensed in NY? Good News!

NASW-NJ has just received approval from the NY State Board for Social Work for our courses which will soon count for those with NY social work licenses.

NOTE: Due to a 90-day submission requirement for each course, we will be able to offer courses that count for both NJ and NY licenses starting later in Fall 2015. We will clearly mark each course that we offer as also approved for NY when applicable.
