NASW-NJ Advocates for Healthcare Policy
NASW-NJ joined more than 35 people from numerous allied organizations in the NJ for Healthcare Coalition on Tuesday to meet with Senator Joe Vitale, Assemblyman Gary Schaer, and Assemblyman Troy Singleton to discuss healthcare policy priorities for 2015. It was a great gathering with a lot of agreement on how to protect NJ residents and increase access to healthcare. One piece of legislation that is presently moving through the NJ Legislature is an “out-of-network” bill that protects consumers from surprise charges that are not covered by their insurance in emergency or urgent situations. To support the passage of this bill, visit the NJ for Healthcare page. To share your healthcare policy ideas, contact Renee Koubiadis, Advocacy Coordinator at rkoubiadis@naswnj.org or 732-296-8070 x 14.

Private Practice Review Websites
If you notice that there are reviews of your therapy practice on a review website such as HealthGrades.com, you may contact the website to ask that the reviews be removed. However, we suggest that you regularly monitor these sites because removing the existing reviews of your practice does not prevent others reviews from being posted. Thanks to a NASW-NJ member for bringing this to our attention.
