This year is very special. It marks the 45th Anniversary of the
National Association of Social Workers – NJ Chapter and the 60th anniversary of NASW National.
The 60th anniversary celebration for NASW will kick off during Social Work Month in March and
extend through October of this year. The theme is “Social Work Paves the Way for Change”.

In New Jersey we are celebrating 45 years of service and advocacy for individuals and families.
We are celebrating the many thousands of social workers in this state who are working every day with people to improve lives, communities, and organizations. We are celebrating the social workers who have come before us and created great change.
They have provided us with the tools and knowledge we use today and every day.
Our 45th anniversary will be celebrated all year long here in New Jersey. We look forward to hearing from you throughout the year on some of the monthly themes for our Anniversary.
