NASW Co-Sponsors "Caring for Your Parents" Documentary

NASW has co-sponsored, with the Harrah’s Foundation, a pre-screening of the documentary titled “Caring for Your Parents.”

Written, produced and directed by Michael Kirk, award-winning director/writer/producer of more than thirty documentaries for PBS’s widely-acclaimed Frontline series, “Caring for Your Parents” follows five American families as they struggle with the day-to-day joys and travails of caring for their aging parents.

H.R. 5447 Social Work Reinvestment Act Introduced

The Dorothy I. Height and Whitney M. Young, Jr. Social Work Reinvestment Act (H.R 5447) was introduced on February 14, 2008.This significant initiative, if enacted, will enable the nation’s 600,000 professional social workers to better serve families and communities in need.
