Topic: Realizing a Mindful Life: Cultivating Mindfulness in Your Personal and Clinical Practices

This workshop will explain to attendees some specific mindfulness techniques, and will offer time to experience and practice them.  Attendees will learn mindfulness techniques in the following broad categories:  mindfulness of the breath, mindfulness of thoughts, mindfulness of emotions, mindfulness of body sensations, and mindfulness of relationships.

 

Presented by: Danna Markson, LCSW
Founder and Director, Mindsoother Therapy Center, Livingston, NJ

Danna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, family and group therapy with children, adolescents and adults. Danna has extensive experience working with Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, as well as Relationship Issues and Life Transitions.

In 2013, Danna received the prestigious honor of being named Social Worker of the Year by the New Jersey National Association of Social Workers for her distinguished service and commitment in the field of eating disorders.
 
In addition to being Director of Mindsoother Therapy Center in Livingston, NJ, Danna is Co-Executive Producer of the documentary Someday Melissa: the story of an eating disorder, loss and hope as well as Director of the non-profit organization, Someday Melissa, Inc. She is a prominent lecturer in the field of mindfulness, emotion regulation and eating disorders.
