Cultivating Psychological Flexibility: An Introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Social workers often encounter clients stuck in unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) uses acceptance and mindfulness skills, combined with behavioral change techniques, to increase clients' flexibility. This presentation will give a broad overview of ACT and techniques and handouts that can be used right away.
