ADD and ADHD are currently popular diagnoses for underachieving children or adults. These categories are poorly differentiated in the DSM, lacking both reliability and validity data. This workshop will examine recent literature on both "neurological functioning" and "learning differences," examine cultural differences in diagnosis and treatment, and make specific recommendations about addressing the problems of learning and emotional needs in both adults and children.
