Since the inception of the NASW-NJ CE Approval Progam in August 2008, there have been many questions about our process. Additionally, there have been some misconceptions about its similarity to approval programs offered by other approval entities. To assist applicants with this process, NASW-NJ has developed a brief webinar to thoroughly explain our program.

How do I submit a thorough, complete application with this electronic process?
One of the most cost-effective, efficient features of the NASW-NJ CE Approval Program is the "completely electronic process." However, some applicants are intimidated by this concept. NASW-NJ has developed the process of retrieving, completing and submitting the application to be user-friendly. Please review the following webinar as tool to assist you.

Need assistance with writing objectives?
A good portion of applications received need to be revised and are requested to be resubmitted due to poor objectives. The following link is to a document entitled, " Action Verbs for Objectives." This document is quite beneficial to applicants as they prepare clear, specific and measurable objectives. Please be sure to thoroughly review this document and incorporate these action verbs in your application where applicable.

Did you hear about the new licensing requirement for social workers in New Jersey?
As of September 1, 2008, New Jersey social workers are required to obtain three (3) credits of continuing education in social and cultural competence. Need more information on acceptalbe content for this new credit hour designation, click the following link for more details.
