- NASW-NJ has recently developed the CE Approval program to insure quality and timely approval of programs from a NJ based organization. This plan was established in response to the Board of Social Work Examiner’s decision to refer applications for CEs to other approving entities.
- Since August 2008, NASW-NJ has offered a comprehensive review process to approve quality programs for social work CEs in our state. We invite you to submit your application for approval to NASW-NJ.
Please read through the Program Overview and review Applicant Checklist BEFORE beginning the application process. This will answer many questions and smooth your way to a successful submission.
- The Application Guidelines are thorough and detailed for your benefit. It is in your best interest to read them in advance of developing your application. Errors or omissions in your application will slow down the approval process.
- All submissions are electronic. This saves you time and money as you can work on your application at any time (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) and NASW-NJ can review and respond to your applications more quickly once we receive them. If you are not computer savvy, consult someone who is to be sure that you are familiar with the requirements of the application process.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
- NASW-NJ must receive your application at least 90 days before your program will occur. This timeline allows us to review your application, clarify any issues problems associated with your submission, and have your program considered for approval BEFORE the presentation date.
- There are no retroactive approvals. No credits will be awarded for a program/conference or course after it is presented. Therefore, do not state in your PR materials that there are “CEUs pending” for social workers, as NASW-NJ cannot insure approval of your course(s).
